◣The Vineyard Story
Why and how we started
Vineyard Christian Learning Centre is a private school in the Kavango West Region of Namibia, which was established to provide the best school environment for learners from kindergarten to Grade 8 (since 2024) so as to prepare the learners for secondary education. The school aims to nature children in a Christian environment in order to raise good citizens for Namibia. Vineyard Christian Learnin Centre opened its doors in 2016 at a house that the Kapisi family had constructed in Nkurenkuru. The beginning of a private school was te fulfillment of the dreams of many people in Kavango West and Namibia at large.
There were several government schools in Kavango West region of Naminia, but the Kapisi family saw that the level of education in those schools wasn't satisfactory because very few learners were able to secure secondary school places in the good schools in Kavango and as a result, they ended up in government schools that did not offer a good environment for successful education. The Kapisi family have two children whom they home schooled for their primary education and their struggle in having children receive a good education led them to the idea of establishing a school which they named 'Vineyard Christian Learning Centre'.

The Nature of our School
Vineyard Christian Learning Centre is a private school, run by the Kapisi Family which administers the school through the School Board, School Management and the School Staff members. The parents and teachers have representation in the School Board.
Our School's performance
Vineyard Christian Learning Centre has in recent years yielded good results and has gained a status as the est performing school in the region and one of the est schools in Naminia at large. The school started with an enrollment of about 95 learners who were all enrolled in daycare and kindergarten in 2016, and the school has since grown to an enrollment of slightly over 600 in 2024. The increase in enrollment is evidence of the good repute tat the school has gained through ist good performance over years.
Our Financial Resources
The school mostly relies on payments from parents. Here and there, the school receives donations from well wishers who are in Germany.
The school is not able to charge a lot of money to parents because most parents are not able to pay a lot of money. Due to this reason, the school is not able to pay staff members the same as their government counterparts and also the school is not able to develop quickly.
The school sponsors 5 vulnerable children and since the school cannot afford to pay teachers a lot of money compared to the government teachers; the teacher's children are also sponsored by the school in order to cushion them.
Our Future Plan
We are planned to expand and register out school for secondary education. We hope to open doors for grade 8 and 9 in 2025.
